Could we be looking at the official cover artwork for Toy Story 3 on Blu-ray?
Originally, I imagined something along the lines of this year’s Toy Story and Toy Story 2 HD releases, but the layout seen to the right looks great nonetheless. We think it’s the real deal, although there’s always the possibility that it isn’t final, and I wouldn’t be surprised by alternate covers.
This design is pretty similar to the film’s UK theatrical poster. At first glance, they seem identical, but look closely and you won’t be able to miss some significant differences. You’ll also notice that the product is listed as a "2-Disc Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy" combo pack. Sounds like there’s a lot to look forward to!
Update: The rumors have been confirmed! Toy Story 3 is set to hit store shelves on November 2nd, 2010. Amazon.com currently lists a 4-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack, a 2-Disc Blu-ray (with alternate cover) and a stand alone DVD for pre-order. A full list of special features, including a sneak preview at Cars 2, is expected soon.
Upcoming Pixar: Because writing an entire blog post about cover art is what we love. Your thoughts?

I doubt that’s the Blu-Ray cover. If it was, they did a terrible job photoshopping Woody’s right leg (from Woody’s perspective) that mixes with the alien’s ear. I’ve seen Woody in that exact same pose before (several times on the official Toy Story website), except on this artwork, Woody’s leg is skinnier at his joint. I would think Disney would make it similar to the first two films’ DVDs and Blu Rays.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I hope it’s fake, because I hate leaking things (ironic, huh?), but I actually think it’s real.
I call fake.
I was hoping for the “toy box poster” as the cover
I like it, but I was kinda hoping for something more in the vein of the recent TS1/2 Blu-Rays so it feels like a matching set.

How sad. You’d imagine Pixar being able to come up with something more creative, attention grabbing, and well produced than that jumbled pile of crap. What a slap in the face to such a wonderful film.
First Anonymous — Then you’ll be happy to see today’s update. 😀
I call a fake. The tag-line at the bottom says “#1 Animated Film Of The Year”. The Same thing that was on “Up”. Don’t think they’d put the same phrase twice on different DVDs.
It’s not fake guys. Amazon.com has confirmed it. 😉
Any chance ther’ll be a DVD boxed set?
Is there gonna be a blu-ray boxed set for all 3 movies??
@BoxSet — Not that I know of, here’s hoping! 😀
There needs to be one, because I’m not saving $ to buy TS3 by itself. The only one I have on DVD is the first, so a box would be awesome!! 😀
On walmart.com there was a collection for all three movies.
Is the 4-Disc combo all three movies and an extras disk I assume?
Thank you, Anonymous!!! 😀
