After waiting over a year for its delivery, I have to admit that I’d forgotten The Pixar Treasures was on its way to my mailbox.
I’m honestly not sure why the book was delayed, but I can tell you that the wait was well worth it. Simply stated, The Pixar Treasures by Tim Hauser is a fan’s dream come true!
The handsome hardcover is much like your own personal museum, complete with pull out keepsakes (posters, Pixarian comics, a CalArts brochures etc.) and an eclectic collage of memories. The pseudo-yearbook represents the dreams that the Brain Trust have been able to make a reality throughout the years.
To me, it’s much more than a collector’s item, though. The book is sort of a mirror to my reality— a total inspiration. Like some of you out there, I’ve been fortunate enough to collect little trinkets from Pixar, some more rare than others. The Pixar Treasures may serve as inspiration for my own scrapbook.
Other than the mouthwatering images, this book is also packed with exquisitely written blurbs by Tim Hauser. The author weaves quotes from Pixarians into the text to create stories that accompany the content scattered throughout. Essentially, he’s in the business of creating one big picture.
Whether you’re a die-hard Pixar fan or a casual observer, The Pixar Treasures will open up a whole new world for you.
Order The Pixar Treasures now, from Disney Editions, over at Amazon. The long-awaited book finally hits stores tomorrow!

I’ll definitely be asking for this for Christmas!
They had this at the World of Disney store at Disneyland in early September.
Nice book, but I’m running out of shelf-space after the ‘Tale as old as Time/Beauty and the Beast’ book, the PIXAR exhibition book from Oakland, and ‘The Art of Drew Struzan’ image.
I’m so glad to hear this! I was supposed to receive it as a Christmas gift before its delay. Great to know that it’s worth the wait! I hope I’ll be seeing it on my porch in the next few days.
