Rhythm & Hues’ film division president Richard Hollander is leaving the company in search of new challenges at Pixar as a producer says the Hollywood Reporter.
The article tells us that he found out about the producing job from the former Lucas Digital president, Jim Morris, who also started at Pixar 2 years ago.
“I’ve been doing visual effects for a long time, and I wanted to get the juices flowing again,” Hollander said. “The underlying structures at R&H and Pixar are similar, but R&H is service and Pixar focuses on feature-length pictures. It has a much different outer premise, and I wanted the challenge.”
Richard’s bio over at R&H says…
The terms “visionary” and “pioneer” are often mentioned in the entertainment industry, but in the case of Richard Hollander, President of the Feature Film & Theme Park Division at Rhythm & Hues Studios, these words truly apply.
Sounds good to me. Hopefully Richard will enjoy his time at Pixar and I wish him the best of luck when he starts in Feburary.

I also wish Mr. Hollander the best concerning his choice to pursue a career at Pixar Animation Studios.
I hope it goes well, Richard!
And thank you for the information, luxo jr.
