PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system “Greatest Hits,” Microsoft Xbox® “Platinum Hits” and Nintendo GameCube™ “Player’s Choice” retail programs. Cars was the number one selling kids video game brand, as well as the number two overall best selling video game in 2006. With this recent sales achievement, the title will now be available to a broader range of game players with the new suggested retail price of $19.99 throughout North America.

In addition to the recent achievement of these major sales milestones, THQ is expected to bring a new video game based on the highly successful Cars film to retail this fall. Cars Mater-National is scheduled to ship for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation 2 system, the Wii™ video game console, Nintendo DS™ and Game Boy® Advance and will offer a brand new racing competition set in the famed animated world of Radiator Springs.

About the Cars Video Game

The Cars video game is a high performance interactive experience in the open world created in the film, challenging players to relive the excitement created by Lightning McQueen and his friends. Fans will discover unique characters and environments inspired by the film with more than 10 playable characters and 30 races and minigames to choose from. The game features a fully immersive re-creation of all major environments introduced in the movie, including Radiator Springs and Ornament Valley, which will offer distinctive racing experiences to players while maintaining the artistic style of the film.

The Cars video game was developed within THQ’s Studio System, which includes 16 owned studios and more than 25 of the best independent development teams. THQ’s critically-acclaimed video game developer, Rainbow Studios, developed the PlayStation 2 system, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube versions. THQ’s Locomotive Games, Inc. developed the PSP version.
