Ratatouille looks amazing, I saw the 9 minutes preview and I can say it is the best computer animation I’ve ever seen.

I really hope Ratatouille can continue its 100% streak on Rotten Tomatoes. That would be sweet.
Man, I’m quite surprised everyone loves the film so much. I saw the preview on Saturday and personally thinks it’s Pixar’s worst so far. However, maybe it’s cause I’m comparing the movie to Pixar’s standards, while everyone else is comparing Ratatouille to Shrek 3. I just felt that the movie bounces around a lot without any clear theme in the end – basically it has weaks legs to stand on. Obviously, that would be Pinkava’s fault. But, bring on the reviews. I hope someone agrees with me in time.
100% approval out of 7 reviews is a good start! I am very looking forward to see this picture as I am disapointed by most summer movies this year.
Paul Hillsdon I agree with you about one thing. You do have an idio(synchra)tic way of seeing things… 😉
I loved the movie. I gots no other thing to say, It was amazing my rating would be 100%
I do not recommend this movie at all. I took my 9,5 , 2 yr old to see the movie and they were not impressed. The best way I usually say how well I like the movie is whether I would buy it for my kids once it is released. I will not buy this movie. It was unentertaining for children. I was very dissapointed I spent the money going. I expect so much more from pixar. I just think the movie was marketed through the past successes of Pixar, but it was not close to comparable.
Ratatouille was a disappointment. After all the great reviews, I expected a lot more. I went with my four-year old. He’s enjoyed several movies but laughed out loud just once during Ratatoulle and asked when it was going to be over after the first hour.
The movie was beautiful and the animation looked great, but the story lines didn’t have much of a pay off. Perhaps there was too much negativity and not enough laughs. You had the love/hate relationship between Remy and Linguini, and more strife with the restaurant owner, the critic, the love interest and Remy’s own family. Not much room for fun.
The big love story is between Remy and his cooking, but that only takes you so far.
Some say this G-rated movie is more for adults, but I’ve had a better time at the other animated movies that appeal more to kids. Kids know how to have fun.
This movie grows long in the tooth quickly. My two sons, which normally love these types of movies, came away unimpressed. C+
Id have to say this is one of my favorite movies from Pixar. Im 17 and took some of my friends same age as me and we all enjoyed it very much. the only thing i would have to say about the bad reviews is that no one ever said it was a kids movie so the fact that an older audienc is enjoying it more seems to me that Pixar has stumbled on to a new movie genra “animated teen.”
