Route 66 News points out another slideshow to accompany the song from the Cars soundtrack, Route 66 by John Mayer.
It’s a more upbeat video this time; it’s John Mayer’s version of “Route 66″ along with businesses on the Mother Road that are still operating and serving tourists.

Also, Victor Navone on his blog, points out a great article from VFXWorld which has interviews with recruiters from major animation and effects studios.
This is what Karen Chelini, recruiting manager at Pixar says…
When we look at anybody, whether it’s 2D or 3D work, we’re actually looking for the exact same qualities. For example, if it’s an animator, we’re looking for someone that has an incredible sense of acting skills, acting ability, and, whatever we’re looking at, we’re moved by whether it makes us smile or tugs at our heart strings. That’s what we’re looking at more than anything else. We’re also looking for subtleties. We’re not looking for movement that’s over the top.

Sorry I’ve been out, Luxo Jr. I’ve been away for a while and I only just got back.
Anyways, I don’t think I’d cut it out as an animator. As much as a cool job it’d be, I seriously don’t got what their looking for. Maybe a few more years and a decent story . . .
IMDB has updated their Ratatouille page with a new cast member. It seems we were correct. Brad Bird is voicing the waiter in Ratatouille.
Something off subject.
Does anybody know if Toy Story is really happening? My friends keep bugging me about it.
Oops. LOL!
Something off subject.
Does anybody know if Toy Story 3 is really happening? My friends keep bugging me about it.
Bill: The thing with IMDB, although it is ususally a reliable source, it can be edited by anyone. Most probably someone just took everything we know from the teaser like Brad Bird is the waiter and added it to IMDB.
just3d: Yeah Toy Story 3 seems to be going ahead, but not until I guess John Lasseter has settled into Disney and is in full swing so he can take the time to direct it. That is if he will direct it. I think the earliest we will see it is probably 2010+
Thanks Luxo Jr.
