ABC Family is set to premiere exclusive content from Pixar’s highly anticipated sequel as part of their upcoming Toy Story themed weekend programming.
Before you check out the toy gang’s latest adventure, make sure to refresh your memory with the film that started it all and its equally celebrated sequel. During the broadcasts, you’ll be treated to "first looks" from Toy Story 3 and profiles on the new characters.
Here’s the schedule:
June 5th "Toy Story" 7:00 – 9:00 PM
June 6th "Toy Story 2" 9:00 – 11:00 PM
June 13th "Pixar Shorts" plays from 3:30-5:30 PM followed by Disney Toon’s spin-off "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins" and an encore of TS/TS2 starting at 7:00 PM.
—Please note, all times are Eastern/Pacific—
June 18th Get off the couch and head on over to your local theatre for Pixar’s latest! It’s perfect timing since Toy Story 3’s predecessors will be televised just one week prior to release.
Will you tune in to ABC Family during Toy Story programming?

Beware—-ABC Family edits the films. They never show the complete films, and all of Pixar’s widescreen films (Ratatouille, Bug’s Life, Incredibles, and Wall-e) are ALWAYS shown cropped.
ABC Family SUCKS.
You don’t even want to see the preview?
I don’t think you hate ABC Family THAT much…
For the record, I personally have no issues with the channel.
So, you’re OK with them butchering Pixar’s films? I’m not. Not even for the “preview,” which is usually a lame long live action introduction, with only a snippet of footage from the film, mixed in with scenes from other Pixar films.
I’m looking forward to the film in the theater, as it was intended to be seen.
The only time I watch ABC family is when they’re playing Pixar movies or shorts. Or Harry Potter.
I agree. When they show one of their widescreen films like The Incredibles, they cut off nearly 1/3 of the image on the sides. Why would the company who owns these films ruin their own films? Makes no sense.
Anonymous- I own the films on DVD/Blu-Ray. If I’m dying to see the full, unedited version, I can always do so. I feel like they do the editing because of many reasons including time and demographics for the channel. And hey, I’m just reporting the news, you can hate ABC Family all you want and miss out on previews.
If I’m thinking of the right channel, I like it when ABC Family shows Rankin/Bass Christmas shows each year. 😛 That’s about it. Never much “family” about it, most of the time…
But this is pretty cool! I’ve had to miss all the TV-exclusive Toy Story 3 spots, but I think that only makes me more excited.
