The Pixar Blog‘s Mike B. recently spoke to Andrew Stanton at a screening of WALL•E and Stanton has confirmed to him that he is indeed working on John Carter of Mars. More details to come.
Andrew Stanton Confirms JCoM [Updated]
UPDATE: Mike has completed the post to include how the question came about, so be sure to head on over to read it.
Also, I think my heart just skipped a beat when I found out in Mike’s post that Andrew Stanton reads both The Pixar Blog and Upcoming Pixar! It’s nice to know that the big guys are interested. And to Andrew if you are reading this, thanks for reading.

You misspelled Andrew’s last name, Thomas (bawpcwpn). I hope this doesn’t come across as questioning your actions…
Haha thanks for pointing it out Bill.
Well, not really a surprise but it’s always funny when directors try to keep things hush-hush when it’s obvious to everyone what they are working on. But it’s cool to have a confirmation for JCOM, finally.
Congratulations on having Andrew Stanton as an Upcoming Pixar reader! That’s awesome! 🙂
(I wonder if he also visits Pixar Planet… I hope so)
hey that’s awesome! I really loved Finding Nemo! that movie was so special and so amazing.
Anyways, I’m glad Andrew Stanton is directing it, but I super hope they don’t drop the Narnia movies!! I am SO excited to see the next one! I’m really bummed it’s not coming out until 2010, but I hope the time gap betters the final movie product..
haha wow, yeah, how crazy that they visit these blogs! pressure pressure!
Wow! Very cool! Confirmation is all I need to get me going.
And he drops by here!! (my heart skipped a beat, and I nearly screamed without realizing it) Wowowow!

Hi, Andrew Stanton! If you’re reading this, I’m a big fan of Pixar and live only a few miles away from Emeryville. I can’t wait until the day I get an opportunity to visit the inside of Pixar headquarters. Then my life will be complete!
Sincerely,
Darryl
