Sorry for the delay in relaying this piece of news to you. Most of you have probably seen it on the news or on the web, but I can safely assume all Pixar fans are rejoycing that Cars won the first Golden Globe for Best Animated Film.
“I want to share this with everyone at Pixar Animation Studios, the greatest filmmaking environment in the entire world,” said John Lasseter in his acceptance speech.
Congratulations John, Pixar and everyone else involved. Lets hope you can bring home the Oscar too.
Thanks to Brinke for the heads up!
And speaking of Oscars, James Bates from The Los Angeles Times
, has interviewd John about recieving awards, and animation. An interesting piece of information revealed is, that John dresses up his Oscars.
This is usually the way the Oscars™ seem to run; where go the Globes, so goes the Academy.
Go Cars! It seems like a sure thing to win, since the competition is a little weaker than it has been in years past and since Cars was so original and such a ball.
Oh yes, congradulations, Cars and lets get that Oscar!!
