I just came across this charming website, iMug, who are calling out to all Apple, Disney•Pixar and diecast fans to sign their petition to get Mattel to release a diecast model of the infamous "Mac iCar #84" that appeared for a brief second in Cars.
Dang Gum! I Want a Mac iCar #84!
Now some of you may be saying, "They did release the iCar 84 as a diecast model." You would be correct in saying that too. They did release it, but it was part of a limited edition set and only 1000 were made. iMug want Disney•Pixar/Mattel to release it on it’s own to satisfy the hunger of the ravenous Disney•Pixar/Apple/Diecast model fans.
If you want to sign their petition to support the cause, visit the website and follow the links.

yayyy i signed it.
I’ll post a bulletin about this on myspace =]
I like how they used the number in the same way they did with Lightning’s number. McQueen’s number was 95 because that was the year Toy Story was released (actually in some shots of the teaser he was #57- the year both John Lasseter and Brad Bird were born), so why not have an Apple car that reads 84, the year the first Mac computer was released to the market? Just a fun piece of trivia I thought you might like.
It’s “dadgum”. I should know, I’m a southerner.
