Monsters, Inc. and Up director, Pete Docter’s dream home is another step closer to realization, reports the Contra Costa Times.
The City of Lafayette’s Planning Commission approved the plans for the house yesterday excempting it from the city’s 30-foot limit because it’s hidden by the property’s tall hills. The treehouse will include a library, a two-story guest room and a bedroom connected to a main house on the adjacent hill by a suspension bridge.
The neighbors seem to be all for the idea, Commissioners Holt says "…I would be very proud and very happy to see this in the city.", but the plan has to go through a few more of the city’s agencies to finally start construction.
