That’s a bit annoying, but for some reason it doesn’t surprise me. 😐 At least it’s only being delayed by a week, and not until November or something. *knocks on wood*
Do you know why it is being delayed?
The PG rating was a bit odd. I was really expecting this to get a “G”…
PS For some reason I can’t view the video – it just keeps playing the classification over and over. I’m guessing that it is just the Australian version of the trailer…?
hmmm it works fine for me. Your not missing anything really. Its up on YouTube probably. It’s just Emile doing his workout “Not Final Animation” thing.
I don’t know why it is being delayed though. Probably the same reason that is was delayed til August.
Yeah, to annoy us Australians, that’s why!
Oh, I can see it now. Stupid computer. Yeah, that’s funny. I like the first animation test better, though. =)
I’ve gone from excited to annoyed. It’s ridiculous to have a movie so heavily plugged online as this has been then delay the release for some people.
It’s like that nonsense on TV “reality” shows where they deliver a result “after the break” then speak extra-slowly so as to supposedly raise the tension even further. It’s just annoying.
September’s close to Christmas so I think it’ll be DVD-only for me now 🙁
Speaking of Australia – any word on if the Pixar’s 20 Years of Animation is going somewhere else after it’s stay in Australia? I’m crossing my fingers for it to come to LA. LACMA would be perfectly fine. :]
That’s a cool video.
Boo to the release date being pushed back. I propose we all where this stamp across our noses in protest.
Makes me glad I’ve made it to a preview session.
Maybe Melbournians need to stage a “we want ratatouille now” protest outside the Pixar exhibition 🙂 – or at least make their disappointment known to those inside.
Andy: Where do I sign up? 😉
Rachel: Ha ha 🙂 I’m around 4,000km away so I won’t be getting the sign-up form to you anytime soon.
I guess they have “perfectly good” marketing reasons for the delay but it bothers me that Shrek 3 got the go-ahead, despite being a threequel.
Shrek is still “Disney” so it was within their power to reduce the competition. I could have waited for (or even avoided) Shrek 3.
Umm Andy: Shrek = Dreamworks Animation = Dreamworks = Paramount. Not Disney at all.
D’oh! See how enraged I am about Ratatouille’s delay? I’m losing my mind!
But Pirates 3 is Disney, I could wait for that! 🙂
