WALL•E is a winner yet again! This time it’s at the Film Music Critics Awards!
The IFMCA awarded Thomas Newman Best Original Score for an Animated Feature, another indicator that this year’s Annies are crazy. WALL•E was also nominated three other times, but the big winner this year was Benjamin Button. Check out the rest of the recipients of this year’s awards here.
Anyhow, congratulations to Thomas Newman, the WALL•E Orchestra, Andrew Stanton and everyone at Pixar!
Note: Don’t forget to check back here on Sunday for live Oscars results! Two more days!

Congrats to Andrew Stanton, Thomas Newman, the WALL-E orchestra and everyone else who worked on the soundtrack. =D
Man, is there any award this film can’t acquire?
Congratulations to Thomas Newman and the entire WALL-E orchestral crew!
Congratulations also goes to Michael Giacchino, who will be scoring next years UP.
While WALL•E didn’t win for Film Music Composition of the Year, for Thomas Newman and Peter Gabriel’s amazing ‘Define Dancing’, WALL•E won for Animated which is a great honor in itself. Film Music Composition of the Year went to Michael Giacchino for his Cloverfield ‘Roar’ Overture, an amazing piece as well. I look forward to his work in UP.
All of the composers are deserving, and it is great to see them being recognized!
