John Lasseter, legendary Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios chief, cracked the top 10 in this year’s Vanity Fair New Establishment list.
Honoring the most powerful media icons of our time, the likes of Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg (number one for the second year in a row) and Google’s Sergey Brin are not an uncommon sight. The Pixar honcho sits comfortably between Netflix’s Reed Hastings and Lady Gaga at an impressive (but well deserved) number eight.
Lasseter is not only being honored for his years of leadership and creative vision at Pixar, but also for his more recent effort to revamp Walt Disney Animation Studios. In his career, he has directed and/or produced some of the most successful films of all time, truly making the Pixar CCO a powerful and influential legend.

Well deserved. And after all the attention he still seems to be a really kind, genuine person.
You realize, of course, that like Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and a golden globe—this list is heavily lobbied upon and VERY easily swayed/bought.
Wow, the vanity fair list… and he even beat Lady Gaga! He must be so proud….
