Toy Story 3 has become the highest grossing film of the year in the US, UK and around the world. Meanwhile…
Lee Unkrich has been making the rounds once again! MovieLine and Hollywood.com share some excellent interviews with the acclaimed director.
MovieLine: In this exclusive, Unkrich discusses Cars 2, Brave and "MI2"; the upcoming Toy Story short and some distant features. "We have a whole bunch of films in the pipeline… There are some really fantastic, original ideas. That is about all I can say." Toy Story 3‘s excellent box-office totals are also acknowledged.
Hollywood.com: Lee Unkrich breaks down the filmmaking process in this interview — from developing a sincere and sophisticated story to voicing characters. What’s next for the Toy Story 3 director? "My plan is to make another film with Pixar so it will be a few years before we see anything again because it takes us about four years to make a movie."
Related: In reference to this blog post’s (seemingly irrelevant) opening, Toy Story 3 passed Titanic today to become the second highest grossing movie of all time in the UK! It still has not reached Avatar’s numbers in the country.

I loved these articles!
From what Lee Unkrich said in both articles, I’m betting he is working on an original feature! Congratulations to him, what ever the project may be.
I also enjoyed what he had to say about Brave. He seems to really want women to play a more significant role at Pixar.
I know this doesn’t really relate but my new college history professor bears a striking resemblance to Lee Unkrich and it’s horribly distracting XD.
I always figured there were, but it’s nice to have some confirmation that after the sequel spree we’ll have some more brand new concepts coming out of Pixar.
Awesome news! by the way, I also like the recent changes on the pixar’s website, really cool!!
