New TS3 Characters: Meet Chunk and Chatter Telephone!

Our friends over at The Pixar Blog and Cartoon Brew premiered a couple of interesting Toy Story 3 characters today!

That big fella’ over there is named Chunk! This action-figure is another one of the great Sunnyside Daycare toy designs that appeared in the latest Toy Story 3 trailer. I’m excited to see how Chunk’s character plays out during the film. Why? The boulder-like plaything has rotating facial expressions triggered by a "hidden head spike", surely making for some great comedy (or suspense) moments!

Chatter Telephone also made his debut today! Many of us might be familiar with this design — and for good reason. That’s because he’s Pixar’s rendition of the classic Fisher-Price toy! I definitely owned one as a child. Although the rolling phone has got an adorable smile, the trailer and promo shot show a more twisted side to the character.

By the way, Chatter Telephone will be voiced by Day & Night director Teddy Newton! Cartoon Brew has the phone’s turnaround while Stitch Kingdom steps in with the manufacturer’s description in its entirety.

Usually I’d ask what you thought about both characters, but this time I really want to know what Lady Gaga thinks about Chatter Telephone. No seriously… Telephone.
