ABC News reports that Pixar reported on Tuesday that its third-quarter earnings rose 22 percent on robust home video sales of older titles.
Pixar earned $27.4 million, or 22 cents per share, for the three months ended Oct. 1 compared to $22.4 million, or 19 cents per share, in the same period last year. Revenue rose slightly to $45.8 million from $44.5 million in the third quarter of 2004.
Shares of Pixar fell $1.87 to close at $50.88 on Tuesday on the Nasdaq Stock Market before the earnings report was released. Its shares rose $4.75 to $55.63 in extended trading.
