Pixar CEO, animators invited to join Academy

Via Animated News, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended membership invitations to 112 people who have distinguished themselves in the film industry. The group will be the only new voting members invited to join the organization in 2005. Among them are Pixar and Apple CEO Steve Jobs, and several others in the animation world: Andrew Adamson (director Shrek, Shrek 2, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), Kathy Altieri (art director The Prince of Egypt, production designer Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron), Signe Baumane (director, writer, animator Five F***ing Fables, Woman, Dentist), Baker Bloodworth (producer Dinosaur, Destino, Lorenzo, One by One), John Hughes (executive, Rhythm & Hues, special effects studio for Babe, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) , Scott F. Johnston (cgi supervisor Aladdin, artistic coordinator The Iron Giant, special effects supervisor Looney Tunes: Back in Action), Chris Landreth (director Bingo, Ryan), and Tim Miller (executive producer Gopher Broke).
