Pixar doing live action sounds kind of silly. Why not do a film through Touchstone Pictures or through Disney? I’d prefer them to stick to what they know best, animation.
wow. wowwow. I thought about this idea that 3 years ago. “Pixar” is -more than anything else – a process. A process that makes very good movies. Sounds like a real winner to me.
it’s looks like the april fool’s is coming true.
Yeah, “wow” indeed. I never imagined it might come to this, but I’m actually loving the idea! Welp, hopefully it works out for the better, which I’m sure it will. Might be kinda weird seeing Pixar do something other than animation though, but we’ll see!
Thanks for the information, luxo jr.!
Kind of like back in the 50’s when people were saying “What is Walt Disney doing getting into live action, he makes cartoons. Stick to what he knows”.
I find it facinating. But Brad Bird is a genius and I trust he and Pixar to do the right thing.
Wow, I’m not sure WHAT to think! Brad Bird has to be kidding… please?
On the other hand, I’m sure Pixar can/could do live action films just as well as their CG ones, although something about it still won’t be the same…
I’m only hoping that his live-action film doesn’t delay “WALL-E” and “Toy Story 3”. Otherwise, I don’t see too much harm in altering Pixar’s way of filmmaking…
John Lasseter said in an interview that the story is the king and that it doesn’t matter if it’s animated or live action. So let’s see what happens (even Disney did live action ;o))
No,no,no…
You guys stick with animation. The idea to start making life action films it is not what make me get into animation. Your movies spired so much people to put hands on animation and now it looks like it is all about the money!!!
yeah, let’s make any kind of movies and put some more money in our pokets!. No!
I love pixar creations because they are unique and the best.
Please dont even try to make life action movies, we the humans can’t do as much as Mr. Incredible can and look natural, ok?
The Only 3D Animations worth watching are made by Pixar, nobody does it better. The art form is amazing the way they do it.
I think it’s a tad premature to assume that Pixar is going into live action just for the money.
I think some story a better told using animation and others better come to light in live action. I’m sure Pixar doesn’t make overnight decisions on these things.
wow. I hope they realize they are in for a whole new world of hurt with regards to a live-action FX pipeline vs a CG anim pipeline. I’m amazed they would want to go through the headache of it.
I would find it sad to see them going into live action movies. Pixar for me was not only a name but a reputation of it’s own. when I watch a Pixar movie I’m hook every time seeing this great achievement and the impressive work done by the animators. They are able to give life to anything they create. It is for me the sort of place I would love to work just to be able to say, “hey, I work at Pixar!” ,and anybody would know what I do.
For me , pixar is best in the animation industry for the quality of their movies. but making a live action is no bad-move since , pixar’s secret of success in their stories. A good story can be real fun – i won’t care it’s live action or CG .. if it’s a pixar movie, it’s sure ‘a well told story’ .. i’m waiting to watch!
Well, I think there is potential for several great stories to be told… but it also means the studio will expand past it’s initial specialty, that being animation. It seems, often, when business expand too fast or ventures away too far from their specialty, there is often a period of growth and success. However, later, as they become stretched out too thin in areas they’re less capable in than their competitors,… their overall performance suffers and their brand name perception becomes tarnished.
PIXAR = ANIMATION
THATS IT!!!
Eric
To me Pixar is like a goddess of animation and they are so good in what they are doing, and I always will say this and only this that pixar is the greatest in 3d Animation and no matter what 3d pictures house is coming out they can never beat pixar cause they are the most original in everything. The fact is, since pixar is so good at doing what they do best I would say keep it up MAN!!! but if they started to move their business to another field it seems that originality is gone. And it just seems like pixar is no long at it’s best but just another business oriented company as it was never been. To people everywhere in the world Pixar is great because they care about their work and originality and nothing about money and business, but when changes start, it seems that a little bit hard to accept. To me its a bit hard to accapet the fact that pixar moving on to live action movies cause they have been original since 3d animation been created. Unless they could create a different genre of live cation that no one have seen it before then I will be fantastic, other wise they just another business company.
