Veterans of the northern California studio share their vision for Pixar Canada in a new video posted today.
Leslie Iwerks, "The Pixar Story" director and noted documentary filmmaker, produced this three minute clip. Much like the previous Pixar Canada promo, the studio’s characters are digitally composited onto shots of Vancouver, where the satellite is located.
Check out the video below, featuring John Lasseter, Ed Catmull and Pixar Canada leadership, Dylan Brown, Darwyn Peachy and Amir Nasrabadi:
In between the illustrious montage and shots of the new facility, this quote stood out to me: "Whatever they do, they can look at [the film] and point it out to their grandchildren years in the future that this is something great that they worked on." As with anything else Pixar, Ed Catmull expects excellence of the Canadian studio. Whether it be a short film or a “30-minute TV special”, us fans should have nothing to worry about.

Wow, Vancouver really is gorgeous.
I can’t wait to see the exciting work produced from this team! I hope there are some TV specials like Mr. Catmull suggested.
