I’m a big fan of Monopoly. I love to be the banker and well, slip myself a few notes as I play (let that be warning to you, never play monopoly with me). However, Ellen kindly points out that there is a Pixar themed version of the classic board game. She found her copy at her local Toys R Us, however I am sure if you wanted to pick one up yourself, you’d find one at any department store or games shop that sells board games. The picture isn’t big enough but I am curious to know what the cheap end of the board is and what is there instead of Park Lane and Mayfair. Looks like fun. Thanks Ellen!

I saw it in a store a couple of weeks ago. About the only detail I remember is that the most expensive property (“Boardwalk” in the normal American version), is “Andy’s Room.”
Just curious: Are “Park Lane” and “Mayfair” the names of properties in the down-under version?
Park Lane and Mayfair are the original names from the game, and are British places.
I heard this was going to be between $60 – $80 dollars in Australia. A bit expensive for me…
I saw this in a local Toys R’ Us store myself not a month ago, actually. Very cool.
luxo jr. – Just to let you know, there is a also a second edition of the Disney version of Scene It? that includes Ratatouille clips and such. You can learn more about the game via this link:

Thanks for the information on the Monopoly game, by the way!

the cheap end of the board looks like the incredibles. The one closest to the board is the mother giving the baby a bath and the one next to that is the father stuck behind his desk at work.

You can make out more of the spaces there. The cheapest properties are from The Incredibles (the Parr’s kitchen and Bob’s cubicle) and most expensive are from Toy Story (Sid’s Room and Andy’s Room). The railroads are various vehicles (pizza planet truck, R.C., Mr. Incredible’s car, and the boat from Finding Nemo). The utilities are the Laugh Works and the Scream Works.
Did they toss dice to decide these or something?
When can I buy it?
Oooh; want want want.
This picture is actually the OLD version of the game. They just released a new one (probably the one being found at places now) that features all the movies up to and including “Cars” and “Ratatouille”
