The Man Room has gained details on the upcoming release of Ratatouille on Disney Blu-Ray this year. The release is expected to hit US shelves on Nov 6 along with Cars on Blu-Ray and The Pixar Short Film Collection: Vol 1. It should carry a SRP of $34.99 and include the following features…
- Exclusive Short ‘Your Friend the Rat‘
- Deleted Scenes
- Never Before Seen Documentary With Brad Bird (could this be the one that Michael Giacchino’s son made?)
And Blu-Ray only features include…
- Widescren 2:39:1 1080p Presentation
- 5.1 Uncompressed 48 kHz/24-bit Surround Sound
- Gusteau’s Gourmet Game
- Cine-Explore – The Ultimate Behind-The-Scenes Innovative Experience.
Sounds like it’s going to be a great release. Hopefully cover art should appear within the next few weeks.
UPDATE: It appears a my estimation of a few weeks was completely off. Ultimate Disney has the cover art for the Ratatouille DVD, Pixar Short Films Collection: Vol 1 DVD and Cars BD. Just scroll down to November 6.

“Cine-Explore”? I’m almost tempted to purchase a Blu-Ray platform now….
If there’s no 2-disc release for Ratatouille, I’ll cry myself to sleep every night. Atleast the featurettes and a Director & Producer commentary and an Animator’s commentary!
Pretty please. 🙂
oh, oh. Lifted isn’t mentioned. They better not stop including their latest short with latest film releases, just to sell the Shorts DVD
