There seems to be a LOT of anger over Mr Jim Hill releasing this piece of information.
I quote…
Speaking of which … Today’s article reveals the basic plot of Pixar’s 2007 film, the name of the protagonist & the antagonist of the picture … And — to my knowledge — this is the very first time that this sort of detailed information about “Ratatouille” has appeared outside of the Walt Disney Company. So how is that not a spoiler?
Trust me, folks. Based on the angry e-mails that I’ve already received from folks who work in Emeryville, the people at Pixar think today’s column is a HUGE spoiler. A spoiler that can be seen from space.
Jim also has revealed plots from other big motion pictures for the next year i.e. POTC III, Meet the Robinsons and Enchanted.

I just quickly glanced at the Ratatouille plot. Nothing I haven’t heard before…
I’m staying clean the best I can. I didn’t even bother looking at anything big. Wikipedia told me earlier today who’s the main character’s name (I am SO glad it’s not Ratatouille: Makes me love the film ten times more automatically!)
Oh, and I just noticed:
Red’s Dream 20th Anniversary is NEXT year. Any chance it might finally get it’s chance to shine and premeire with Ratatouille instead of the rumoured “The Extra”??
That’s a jerky site anyway. They seem to be lying in wait for John Lassetter to screw up or something. I stopped dropping by there a couple of months ago for just that reason.
I’m not looking.
As far as I can see this Jim Hill is an AIC.n attention hog wanna be trolling for google hits.
PS: totally off topic here – my word verification this time is ‘gflob’ – for some reason this made me giggle.
I also took a quick glance at the main character’s name — which is very unique, in my opinion — , but would not read any farther than that.
It’s a shame that the plot was carelessly revealed this early in the year. I’ve seen the teaser (which is awesome) and that’s all I want to see…until Pixar decides to show more. Until then, I look forward to more trailers! Ratatouille looks like it’s going to be a blast!
