And finally, Animated News points out that Pixar is scheduled to make an appearance at the RiverRun International Film Festival on Saturday, April 21.
Visiting Pixar artists will present a behind-the-scenes look of the making of Cars, this year’s Oscar®-nominated smash hit. Winston-Salem native David Park, who joined Pixar’s art department in 2003, as well as Don Crum, a Pixar artist specializing in traditional hand-drawn animation, will walk the audience through the Pixar process, showing how films get started and how they move from concept to completion. The duo will share film clips from the Pixar vaults and talk about the studio’s upcoming feature, Ratatouille.
