WalMart has 30 second samples of each of the tracks from the Ratatouille soundtrack. The soundtrack goes on sale tomorrow (26th June) for $USD14.88 at WalMart or $USD12.97 at Amazon with a SRP of $USD18.98. Sounds good to me!
UPDATE: The soundtrack is now available for purchase on the iTunes Store. Click here to visit it’s iTunes page, where there are 30 second samples from each song plus an album only video at the end titled “Looks for Saffron” which is just a 55 second scene from the film. The album on the iTunes Store costs $USD11.99, cheaper then both WalMart and Amazon, plus you get a scene from the film with it!
Also available is What’s Cooking? which is a compilation of songs inspired by the film. While i’m at it I would like to ask the folks at Walt Disney Records why they are not offering their catalogue of music DRM free in formats such as iTunes Plus in which currently EMI is offering their catalogue. Just think on that. Enjoy the soundtrack!

To Mitch, we plan to start fixing things tomorrow. Or should I say hopefully tomorrow. I’ll let you know if there is any sort of problem. Man, I can’t wait to be back on Pixar Planet.
They have the soundtrack on iTunes by now, as well as another CD called “What’s Cooking?”, featuring songs inspired by the film.
I purchased this lovely little trinket of a soundtrack only yesterday, and it is simply beautiful in every aspect. From the delicate tones of the violins, down to the intricate and hard-bound keys that sing its powerful, albeit intriguing, tune upon its piano base, this particular soundtrack is worth making a space for in between your Star Wars and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? CDs.
My compliments to Mr. Giacchino. A wonderful composition of endearing quality, indeed! You’ve done it again….
Bill – Hey, Bill! I’m glad you managed to get back on to Pixar Planet!
