A very ingenious group of students built a working WALL•E with Lego from the Mindstorm series. The unit has sensors which searches the Classroom for litter and then cleans up the mess.
They also won the NXTLOG back to School Building Challenge.

K9Girl once pointed out to me that WALL•E looked like he was designed using Legos. Nice robot.
Although this really isn’t Pixar news, thanks for posting. It’s awesome to see what you can do with just a few wires and blocks!! And make it look like our favorite little robot.
I used to be part of lego robotics. They did a nice job.
