The Associated Press via The LA Times reports that Steve Jobs has asked not to be paid the $65,000 annual salary he is entitled to as the newest board member of The Walt Disney Co.
Disney’s board approved a modification of its director compensation policy to accommodate Jobs’ request, according to a filing Disney made Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Jobs has a history of declining compensation for board service and has taken token salaries as CEO at Apple and at Pixar Animation Studios, where he was chairman and CEO before Disney bought the company earlier this year.
says the article.
Instead the CEO has taken stock options or large ownership positions in his companies.

What? He should accept it and give it to me, I could buy me a new animation desk with that
Those board positions such as the one talked about there are pretty empty and rarely involve any actual work.
Whoa. I read on Animated News about the same thing a few minutes ago. It said he got paid a whopping $1 per year. Dang.
I would much rather own Disney than get $65,000…
65? He could use it to take over the world! But he pretty much has with the iPod.
