Meet Your New Favorite Toy Story 4 Character: Duke Caboom

Jonas Rivera, Josh Cooley, teaser, teasers, Toy Story 4

Posted by Nia • May 3, 2019

Just like Trixie, we have a lot of questions about Pixar’s new teaser trailer introducing the Canadian daredevil Duke Caboom. Watch below and prepare to be blown away with awesomeness:

First of all, how many poses can Duke Caboom really do? Is he Canada’s only daredevil? How does he style his goatee so perfectly? And why is he so freakin’ cool?

In the teaser, we watch a vintage style advert showcase Duke riding his motorcycle, doing dangerous jumps through hoops, and somehow managing to pose on his ride as he soars through the sky. The trailer then cuts to a child playing with a Duke Caboom toy as she attempts to replicate his famous jumps through a hoop set. We quickly find out, a la typical Toy Story fashion, that these toys can’t do what they’re advertised for. Just like in the original Toy Story, Buzz discovers he can’t really fly but Duke Caboom already seems to know that everything’s all a facade, as he utters the line: “It’s a commercial, it’s not real! I can’t jump that far!” It will definitely be interesting to see how Duke interacts with Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang and what role he has in this new adventure. Duke Caboom is also voiced by real life action star Keanu Reeves, so we’re all definitely in for a massive treat.

In addition to the teaser, Pixar also released some stunning new character posters that show Buzz, Woody, and Bo Peep giving their best action hero pose as we near even closer to Toy Story 4‘s June 21st release. It seems like everyone is inspired by Duke…

Can you say, “Caboom?!”

The Toy Story 4 Teaser Is Here!

teaser, Toy Story 4

Posted by Joanna • November 12, 2018

Toy Story 4 is set to release in June 2019, so we knew it was only a matter of time before a teaser was coming our way. But that doesn’t make this news any less exciting!

Pixar posted a Toy Story 4 teaser today – you can watch it below:

It’s surprisingly touching to see all these beloved characters in action again, even though we have been spoiled with Toy Story Toons over the past few years. It seems very little is being revealed about the plot at this stage – the toys are simply joyfully holding hands and spinning around in slow motion with the classic ‘Toy Story clouds’ as their backdrop. It’s oddly dreamlike, especially with Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now playing in the background.

With the news that Bo Peep is making a return in Toy Story 4, I was almost expecting her to slowly come into frame as the camera panned round, but perhaps that would have been an obvious twist… The strange spork creature, on the other hand, is not something I could ever have predicted.

Forky – a spork turned toy?

Here is Pixar’s description of Toy Story 4 so far:

“Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.”

So is Forky going to be a central character of sorts? Is the movie going to explore the concept of what makes a toy a toy? Can we assume these ‘old friends’ will include Bo? All will be revealed in time, but it’ll be hard to stay patient!

It’s great to see some more Parr family interaction in this teaser – Incredibles 2 will see Mr Incredible, or Bob Parr, facing the more relatable challenge of being a stay at home parent. He may have super strength, but raising three kids on your own requires an entirely different set of superpowers…

Incredibles 2 releases on June 15th. Have you got your tickets booked yet? Let us know when you’re seeing it and how excited you are on our Twitter and Facebook!

‘Bravo, Edna’ – New Incredibles 2 Teaser

Incredibles 2, Pixar, The Incredibles 2, Trailer

Posted by Joanna • April 9, 2018

You may not have had the chance to watch the new teaser that Pixar released last week for the upcoming Incredibles 2 – this one heavily features the ‘iconic’, ‘explosive’ Edna Mode (no complaints here), and proves that our favourite superhero fashion designer is just as eccentric as ever. Watch the new teaser below:

Edna Mode was a firm favourite in the original The Incredibles, voiced by director Brad Bird. Aside from hearing famous fashion stars such as Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Andre Leon Talley singing Edna Mode’s praises, this teaser also provides us with some new, never-seen-before clips. These mainly take place in Edna’s stylish abode, and she appears to have created a brand for herself – the ‘Mode Collection’.

We’re also shown part of a scene between Helen and Bob Parr – Helen, or Elastigirl, is trying on a supersuit that is shocklingly not designed by Edna Mode. Understandably, the supersuit isn’t really up to par, and definitely not up to Helen Parr’s standards.

“Edna designed this?” “No! Some guy named Alexander Galbaki.”

We’re looking forward to seeing more Incredibles 2 content as the release date (June 15th) inches ever closer.
