Redforkhippie from Route 66 News talks about how he was in Oklahoma this week to visit with Michael Wallis and the folks at the Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore about naming the Mother Road’s annual MVP award.
While he was there, Michael showed him an advanced copy of his latest literary effort, The Art of Cars, which he co-wrote with his wife Suzanne and Pixar’s John Lasseter.

I didn’t get to read the text, but I saw the pictures, and they are beautiful. There aren’t a lot of images from the movie itself; most of the illustrations (and there are many) are sketches by the Pixar artists as they came up with the characters and settings for the film.

You can read about these here.
The book sounds great!
You can pre-order it from Amazon.com for $USD26.40.
I’m certainly getting my copy.
And you can also pick up, The Art of The Incredibles, The Art of Finding Nemo and The Art of Monsters Inc. for $USD25.20 each.

Oh yes, and your profile states you are 15 and a student, is that for real? Or an April fools joke? 🙂
Thanks for the link A 🙂
No April Fools Joke, I am 15, a high school student and totally in love with Pixar and animation lol.
Thanks for the nice comments 🙂
That is odd – I SAW this book for sale at a chronicle book store on March 26th. I looked through it and was shocked at how fast it came out. I didn’t know that it wasnt available everywhere yet…
hmmm that is very interesting Tony. I wonder if it might be a case of them having it in the backroom but then releasing it too early by accident or something in store.
