A healthy batch of Toy Story 3 reviews are now available on Rotten Tomatoes, setting Pixar’s 11th off to a great start with just a week to go!
The infamous Tomatometer was activated shortly after five professional opinions (containing spoilers) made their way online, marking 100% ‘Fresh’ approval from critics so far. Boxoffice Magazine, Screen International and Access Hollywood join Variety and The Hollywood Reporter in praise for Lee Unkrich’s latest with an average rating of 8.8 out of ten.
If critic Scott A. Mantz got his way "on a [numerical] scale", Toy Story 3’s rating would be even higher: sky rocketing "to infinity, and beyond." But the comment that stood out to me the most came from Pete Hammond who called Disney/Pixar’s summer tentpole "the best Toy Story ever." The prevailing theme in these reviews is that the studio has succeeded in producing a consistently stellar trilogy.
It’s still early, but Toy Story 3 seems to be headed for greatness. We’ll keep track as reviews pour in — and they surely will in the coming days. After all, Toy Story 3 will begin playing in just one week!
Can ‘3’ hold it’s 100% approval rating like the last two films in the series?

I dunno man…. Sid being in TS3 is a spoiler to a lot of people, I would say.
He only makes a cameo, don’t worry. It’s like if I told you that Dug was in Ratatouille. I don’t consider it a spoiler because it doesn’t reveal any plot points at all. In fact, people can look out for him now. I apologize, regardless.
I still can’t stop thinking bout the film after seeing it almost a month ago at the charity screening.
It’s right on the cusp of my top 5, but I may need some more viewings to decide if it can crack those favorites. I’m just not one to come out of a film and say ‘it’s my favorite ever.’ It’s like a rich dessert…you need to let it settle and contemplate the composition, taste, and appeal.
