Yesterday we told you about the latest updates on the official Up website. We’ve been informed there’s even more new stuff on the site which I think deserves a whole new post…
You can click on the "About the Film" button (located on the top bar of the official site) to enjoy filmmaker bios for Director/Screenwriter Pete Docter, Co-Director/Screenwriter Bob Peterson and Producer Jonas Rivera. The bios are full of informative tidbits, some of which long time Pixar fans may already know…
There’s also some very exciting new information, notably the announcement on Bob Peterson‘s bio where it is revealed that he has lent his voice to the hilarious talking dog, Dug! The big question for a while, "Who is Voicing Dug", has been asked all over the internet, and I’m glad it has finally been answered! Peterson has previously voiced Geri in Geri’s Game, Roz in Monsters, Inc. and Mr. Ray in Finding Nemo, quite versatile!
Update: Here’s the international UP trailer (via Trailer Addict, pretty much the same thing as the theatrical trailer and the French trailer, but in English) where you can hear a new Dug line, very funny:
(Thanks, Mitch, from the Pixar Planet Forums)
P.S. Don’t forget to check out the latest episode of Radio Pixar!

Completely irrelevant, but now that this has been confirmed, my biggest Up question is: Is there any truth to the rumours that Thomas McCarthy (whom I love) is one of the writers of Up?
Wait… he’s voicing Dug? Ha! How interesting. I read Pete Docter’s biography on that site/page, but only glossed over Mr. Peterson’s and Mr. Rivera’s profiles because I was short on time. I guess I missed this cool tidbit, so thanks for mentioning it!
You’re welcome for the information, by the way.
This guy is awesome! I really like his characters.
That’s great. I was wondering who was voicing Dug, because I really like his voice. It’s so soothing. Bob Peterson should become a voice actor if this Pixar thing doesn’t work out. 🙂
