ComingSoon.net reports on the events that took place at the San Diego Comic-Con this year when WALL•E was showcased.
The panel then turned to Q&A. Stanton confirmed that there is a live action element involved and humans will be shown in some degree. Ben Burtt wasn’t sure if he’d be working on Indiana Jones 4 since the WALL•E schedule was going to overlap with its schedule. WALL•E is his first priority. Thomas Newman, the composer for Finding Nemo, is doing the score.
says the post. Also discussed at the showcase was the plot, footage shown and sound designer Ben Burtt discussing the effects created for the film. Have a read. The movie sounds great.
UPDATE: /Film have also posted their in-depth transcript from the presentation also.

I saw their panel! WALL-E is going to be a very interesting movie. The robot is adorable too!
It was one of the best panels I’ve ever been to at Comic-Con–it even topped The Incredibles presentation lo these many moons ago, and I didn’t think that was possible (remember, Comic-Con is the high church for the faith of Superheroes).
One little detail that nobody seemed to have picked up or report on is that in the movie clip, when Wall•e wakes up, he does so with the “happy Mac” chord… I laughed my guts out.
It really was a great panel, they didn’t ‘um’ and ‘er’ through it. Pixar was presenting their latest work. One important they they talked about was that WallE was going to be a mostly non-verbal movie. They clip they showed was so captivating with only sounds and movements. Brilliant. One thing coming soon also did not mention is that WallE finds a plant sprout, and carefully pulls it from its location. It seems this was important to the forthcoming plot…
