Okay, time for some Cars news (not that we haven’t been spoilt enough already).
First off, the Official Cars Website now has another section which links off down the bottom when you immediately visit the site.
The extra site features a competition to win a custom Cars engraved iPod, a Road Journal where you can read about other peoples favourite road trips and even submit your own and a photo gallery which is not yet open.
Click here to visit Radiator Springs.
Next up, Route 66 News points out that Aussie’s Gizmag has photos of Eddie Paul’s rubber-and-metal Mater that’s “created to match the animations.”
I think he looks pretty gosh darn cool!
Also, Goodyear has announced in this press release that it would rename its blimp to ‘Lightyear‘ temporarily on its right side in honor of the company’s involvement in Cars. In case you aren’t aware, Lightyear is the brand of tires that Lightning McQueen uses in the movie. Also, Consumers can receive a free copy of the CARS soundtrack on CD and a Goodyear cash card — valued for $25 to $100 — by outfitting their cars with a qualifying set of tires. The special-edition CARS soundtrack is presented by Goodyear, and features music by Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and James Taylor.
And lastly, Fortune takes a very close look at John Lasseter. The article follows his career from his first job at Disney to becoming the creative genius behind Pixar and now to his heading up of the creative department at Disney.
And that about covers all the Cars news for now with a bit of Pixar news.

I don’t think we’ve been “spoiled” . . . I mean, I don’t know how the movie ends, right? Just a vague idea on how McQueen gets to Radiator Springs. When you’re spoiled, it’s like what the word means: The movie in your opinion becomes “Ruined.”
So if that’s the case, Luxo Jr., then you’ve done a great job on keeping news on Cars coming without the movie (in thw words of rotten food) “going bad.”
Also, that Mater DOES look awesome, and would I like to take a spin on that Lightyear Blimp!!
You know what. I know realise the word i was looking for was ‘spoilt’. Hehe. Let me fix it.
Also, I’m having press release to tell people that I have no idea why I did a press conference, and they came here for absolutely nothing. 🙂 I’m just kidding. I found on an ad in one of my magazines that the Cars movie game is gonna be developed by a team called Rainbow Studios. Yeah, I’ve never heard of ’em either. And I dunno right now, but I think the game’s going to be published by THQ. But I could be wrong. *shrugs*
