News Round-Ups

Here comes more tightly packed Pixar news (in no particular order) as part of Woody’s News Round-Up!:

Pixar’s Resident Recording Artist Goes on Record: Vince Caro, Pixar’s vocal recording artist/mixer, talked to Mix about his unique job. His responsibility at the studio is to supervise the production of the character’s voices for the films. He was originally at RCA records and Disney but is now solely working at Pixar (where he’s getting a new console and recording room.) Caro shares great stories about the talent he’s worked with and his daily life at Pixar, read the full interview here.

WALL•E BOOM! Covers Revealed: As part of the expanding Disney•Pixar comics line BOOM! Studios has revealed the covers for WALL•E comics (as well as for a bunch of other BOOM! and Pixar books.) The first of the brand new series follows “WALL•E’s life before the events of the hit film.” It is being written by J. Torres with art by Morgan Luthi. You can learn more about the upcoming series in this interview with the author from Comic Book Resources.

John Lasseter on New Woody Figures: As the director of the Toy Story films, John Lasseter really, REALLY cares about these characters. So when it came time to release the Toy Story Ultimate Collection, the toys had to be as accurate to the original source as possible. Here’s JL’s take on Sheriff Woody Pride from Disney Living‘s series of video blogs:

Enjoy!

Sorry about the frequency of these conglomerate posts. They save me time and get smaller stories “front page” exposure.
