Disney Channel will be premiering three brand new episodes of Cars Toons: Mater’s Tall Tales this fall!
The first, Unidentified Flying Mater, was shown in London recently and will have its Disney Channel, Disney XD and ABC Family on November 20th. The plot follows the rusty tow-truck befriending a buck toothed UFO named Mator and saving him from the military!
Next up is previously unannounced Monster Truck Mater, where our hero becomes a championship wrestler. When he has to face his biggest opponent he tags teams his sidekick Frightening McMean! This episode, as well as other upcoming shows, will premiere in early 2010.
After that, fans will get to see, Heavy Metal Mater, a rockin’ take on the trusty truck. Mater becomes a chart topping rock star with his own band and number one single "Dad Gum." Heavy Metal was previewed at Disney’s London event as well.
Tokyo Mater will now be running on TV as part of the new season, fans may be familiar with this installment as it was attached to Disney’s Bolt.
John Lasseter, Roger Gould and Victor Navone are back directing for this new edition. Music for the above mentioned shorts is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo fame (with the exception of Tokyo Mater.) You can learn more with the official press release.

What do you want to bet that Mator’s Mother ship is a REAL Mother, come looking for her lost son?
I want to predict that Mater is going to use the, “Your name’s Mater too?” line on Mator. Hahaha
