The first proffesional review for Up, a glowing one, has been published. This time from famed critic Richard Corliss of TIME Magazine.
Here’s a summary of what he had to say:
"…the movie’s viewers… will be tickled and touched without prodding. Extending the patented Pixar mix of humor and heart, Up is the studio’s most deeply emotional and affecting work… [It’s] the story of a septuagenarian grouch who uses his cane, hearing aid and dentures to thwart all evildoers; a buddy movie whose pals are separated by 70 years; a love story that transcends the grave — has there been a movie like this in the history of feature animation?"
He even described the opening as:
"[T]he sweetest, saddest 4 1⁄2 minutes you’ll ever see on film."
This is the first review published on Rotten Tomatoes for Up.

The Twitterspehere has also been buzzing with great reviews as well from such sites as First Showing who calls it "Absolutely wonderful!" and says "They’ve knocked it out of the park again… everyone please see it!" Slash Film commented on the film too "Up was great, typical of Pixar, impressed with the subtle 3D…" JoBlo confirmed Corliss "ain’t kiddin’."
Really great to hear!
