Pixar held the wrap party for their 10th animated feature film last night at the Fox Theatre in Oakland, California!
The gathering, which included a full screening of the completed film, the accompanying short and a Toy Story 3 trailer all shown at the Paramount Theatre, was packed with your Pixarian favorites including John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Brad Bird, Lee Unkrich and of course director Pete Docter! Reception on sites like Twitter were amazingly positive amongst the lucky few who could attend.
Some fun little in jokes, the Fox Theatre sign advertised the Up wrap party as the "Muntz Verbal Canine Technology Conference" (adorned with colorful balloons) and the Paramount Theatre welcomed "Senior Wilderness Explorers"!
Sounds like the party was tons of fun! Congratulations to the whole Pixar team on completing yet another sure-to-be hit!
— Bonus! Pixarian Reactions —
Lee Unkrich: Arriving at the "Up" wrap party. Movie was absolutely fantastic.
Andrew Stanton: Leaving UP wrap party. Movie was tremendous!! That’s 10 for 10! (Great party 2.)
Yes! Congratulations indeed! Just one question, wasn’t Brad Bird there?
I bet Brad Bird was there but I only wrote the people who I was 100% sure attended. 🙂
Sounds like fun! Congratulations to the talented cast and crew at Pixar who made this film possible. All of us fans look forward to viewing the final production on May 29th!
I was there as a guest. The film is fantastic! It reminded me of when I was a kid and saw “Raiders of the Lost Ark” the first time! If anyone thinks the trailer gave too much away, you’re in for a big surprise.
The party was crowded, and you couldn’t help running into the luminaries of Pixar.
But the film just blew me away. Peter Sohn’s short film was great, too. Oscars all the way around.
I want to say more, but won’t!
