Ellen DeGeneres recently tweeted about returning to Pixar’s recording studio for Finding Dory, but she’s not the only actor to begin voicework on the film. In a brief interview with Total Film (via E! Online), Willem Dafoe not only revealed that he’ll be reprising his role as Gill in the upcoming sequel, but that he’s already had his first recording session!
Dafoe was enthusiastic about the Nemo follow-up, claiming “It’s even better than the first. It’s fantastic.” He joins a growing cast that includes Albert Brooks, Eugene Levy, Diane Keaton, and Ty Burrell.
Following The Good Dinosaur‘s delay, Finding Dory is even further off with a June 17, 2016 release date. Hopefully Pixar will take advantage of the extra time to ensure the sequel lives up to the high expectations surrounding it.
Did the delay hamper your excitement for Finding Dory? Or has this new announcement reignited it?
