In a story by Fortune Magazine, Andrew Stanton admits that the top designer from Apple Inc. Jonathan Ives did have a hand in the design of the new robot EVE from WALL•E. Ive’s actually visited the Pixar studio in 2005 to give some insights into his design language which also includes the iPod and iMac. More of the story can be read here.

I like Eve’s design and Johnny Ive is a legend, but something annoys me about her head. Is it floating? How is it floating?
I mean, I’m sure it won’t be a biggie watching the movie, but usually Pixar is very detailed when building models, etc. so even if it is a little fantastic, it’s grounded in reality in how it would function.
Eve seems to throw that out of the window with the whole floating/levitating head thing.
