Hate to break it to you 🙂 Thomas, but I got access to a press screening that’s happening in Toronto, very, very, very soon. Details are forthcoming…
And I gently weep to myself in jealously.
and I weep with you.
Glad to hear the good reviews! 😀
I recently watched Prince Capsian (I thought it was really good) and saw the WALL-E trailer on the big screen. Every time I watch it, even small size on the computer, I just love the part where WALL-E is holding on to the moving spaceship in space, and he moves his robot hand through those shiny, bright particle things. I don’t know what they are.. but that part is so so beautiful! My breath just catches every time 🙂
Not completely on-topic, but I was thinking about it.
P.S. Does anyone know what the “Forget” checkbox below the comment box is? I have absolutely no idea.
i know, damn september 🙁
Forget is for forgetting your Pixar Planet login information in the comment form, if you wanted to post anonymously.
joins the weeping
Honestly, this movie stinks of political propaganda. I went to see “Wall-E” and expected to get my money’s worth — but did not. As a matter of fact I considered demanding my money back. I was gravely disappointed and appalled at its content. It does not measure up to previous Pixar movies. Within 5 minutes, I felt sick to my stomach. It seemed as though I was watching an unrealistic version, even though it was computer animated, of Al Gore’s global warming hoax, “An Unfortunate Truth”. Throughout the entire film, I felt I was being barraged by a propaganda tool as I sat among many families with young children in the theatre. “Wall-E” depicts a dead, life-deprived world of the near future, machines in control of people, and portrays all people as fat, stupid, and irresponsible with no idea of outside issues. It has a very unpatriotic theme designed toward creating an atmosphere of despair, fear, and uncertainty. Pixar should remember that it is a family-geared entertainment company. This film openly and shamelessly presents the desire to be politically correct and passes it off as appropriate entertainment for children.
Pixar have never pretended to be a company geared towards family entertainment. They make movies for themselves. I think Brad Bird proved this twice with The Incredibles and Ratatouille.
Best movie I have seen in years.
I took my younger kids to see Wall-E last night. Contrary to the opinion piece above, it was an excellent movie for children and adults. What IS missing, which is the real irritant to its critics was your typical jewish directed movie bathroom humor, football to the crotch shots, excrement jokes and basic smut pushed toward our youth to further desecrate our society.
It is the best movie I have seen in five years, hands down. Best animated show I have seen since snow white and the seven dwarfs.
Best CG movie I have ever seen, period. Not one cuss word or embarrasing moment in the entire movie and the word is out. It will hit huge numbers dispite your transparent motives and distaste. Get over it.
Wall E seems to be the same character or looks like the same character as Number 5 from the movie Short Circuit
