And so it begins, Disney have started their campaign (as previously reported) pushing WALL•E for a nomination in both Best Animated Feature and Best Picture as /Film have discovered in the advertisement (pictured right) discovered on some Hollywood trade-paper websites.
Fingers crossed.

Looks nice at first glance, but once you visit disneystudiosawards.com, Disney’s huge mistake jumps right in your face.
Five movies. And for some opaque reason once again each one is given the catch-all header “For your consideration. All categories.”.
All categories. Yeah, right.
Somehow I have a hard time taking a campaign seriously that pitches “High School Musical 3” for nomination in any category (except maybe “best song”, if the Academy members are all blind drunk or something).
But I guess we have to be thankful “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” is not advertised on that site.

All categories – yessss! (as Brad Bird would say, lol) I always thought that an animated film could not be nominated for a certain award, if its percentage of the total film using CGI was higher than a certain percent. The specific award escapes me, though.
I think you are thinking of the rule for Best Animated. It has to be at least 75 percent animated to qualify. An animated movie, as far as I know, can be nominated in any category.
