At its core, Toy Story 3 ultimately causes a creative collision between the old and the new which I’m sure all of us are anxious to experience in theatres.
During the Toy Fair, Lee Unkrich talked to "momlogic" about just that; the themes of moving on which are central to the resurrection of this beloved franchise. As you already know, Andy’s off to college and the toys, many of which are real life classics, have to deal with that.
While Unkrich talked about bringing the gang into the 21st century for this highly anticipated sequel, "momlogic" just had to ask: "What’s up with Ken?" Turns out he’s not just an exaggerated version of Barbie’s boyfriend, he was actually on store shelves in 1988 as Animal Lovin’ Ken. Yup, even with the ascot! Don’t believe me? Just check out this commercial.
There’s a lot more to read in the full interview so don’t miss out!!
