Did you know that Avalanche Software closely collaborated with Pixar Animation Studios to create Cars 2: The Video Game?
In "Pixar Perfect", the developers of the addictive tie-in game discuss their early relationship with the Emeryville animation unit in order to stay true to the film’s vision. Creators of Toy Story 3: The Video Game, the folks at Avalanche continue to defy the stereotype that movie-based games are lacking in quality:
Cars 2: The Video Game is in stores now! This blogger highly recommends it— I’m not a hardcore gamer, but I’ve had a ton of fun racing around iconic locales and going through the different stages. Don’t just take it from me, reviews for the game have been overwhelmingly positive.
Have you had a chance to play Cars 2: The Video Game?

I have the game for Wii! It is so much fun — by far my favorite video game. You don’t just race, you race with spy gadgets. There are all kinds of modes of racing. It’s fun to try to unlock badges and crests for new cars. I love this game, everyone should get it!
The embedded video in the article wouldn’t play for me since it is set to private. I found the clip on YouTube here:

(also I was unable to login to the comments here, it gave me a page with six warnings about missing files/directories… just in case you were not aware about this issue. I get this error no matter what browser I use.)
That was a huge mistake on my part. Really sorry about that, it’s public now. As far as the comments go, I’d also like to aplogize about that too. We’re slowly redesigning the site so things that were linked to the old Pixar Planet forums are not properly working right now. Since I don’t do the site’s design, I can’t tell you when that will be fixed. I hope it will be soon, though! Thanks for your concern. 🙂
