Man, I am soooooo getting it!! Even though I don’t know much about it, I’ve seen enough art and character and story design to fall in love with the world they’ve created. I love those stories about some kind of machine or beast that is thought incapable of human feelings, but have them nonetheless (i.e. Iron Giant, King Kong, etc.) Now that Pixar is doing one of those stories, I highly doubt I’ll be dissappointed.
Can’t wait for this book!!!
ooooooh, he’s adorable! ^___^ I want to see the book!
Wow. I’m rather surprised that viewers are getting a sneak peek of the Art of WALL-E front cover this early, but I’m pleased to see it nonetheless!
I love the profile/look of the cover. The image imbedded within it seems to emit an almost “marshmellow-y” effect of some sort — it’s tender, meaningful, and thought-provoking. I’ll definitely be picking up a copy of this book when it hits the shelves….
Thank you for the information, Thorsten and luxo jr.!

I’m hoping that this is a fake/placeholder.
With all the sci-fi imagery and gorgeous promo art pieces, the cover of the book leaves a lot to be desired imo, however I’m sure the content will be amazing.
Well, I must admit that I didn’t like the cover at first, but now it is growing on me. And I agree with Mitch, it does have a really soft look to it.
🙂
That cover is awful. Thankfully, it’s most likely NOT the final cover.

I’m going to have to respectfully disagree here. I think it’s a brilliant cover. Rather than going for the collest, most amazing looking cover, they opted for a cover that encapsulated the film. From what I’ve been able to gather about it, this image really captures the essence of the film, that sense of looking up at the stars and yearning for more, the feeling that there simply has to be more to life than the small little slice we get. I’m really looking forward to Wall-e.
