UPDATE: Video Business talks about why the there are so few extras on the Cars DVD, Cars on Blu-Ray and how there aren’t any immediate plans for another DVD. Be sure to have a read.
Also, the Cars Widescreen edition DVD is currently the No. 1 DVD selling on Amazon.com, with POTC:DMC coming in at second and the Cars Fullscreen edition coming in at 3rd!
DVD, to see if I could find out if BVHE had any plans to release a 2-Disc Cars DVD.
I just got off the phone to a representative of BVHE in Melbourne over here in Australia. She said there is currently only the 1-Disc but there probably will be a 2-disc.
No time given to when we get one but at least there is hope that we will get a 2-Disc. I am placing my money on one around the release of Ratatouille like others have theorised. If anyone from Disney or Buena Vista Home Entertainment is reading this and has a comment, feel free to email me at UpcomingPixar@gmail.com and I will post up what you have to say.

I was looking for a “yes, definitely!” but I guess waiting will do. Anything Pixar does is genius. Especially waiting to release a 2-disk DVD so Pixar fans like me will have to buy both.

When it comes to the 2-Disc DVD, all I have to say is, What gives??!!
If this was some marketing ploy to try and get people to to buy one and buy another, they would have BY NOW have already have mentioned the upcoming 2-disc-er. Or maybe I’m jumping the gun – odds, are we’ll hear of a June 2007 release for a 2-Disc Cars in November/December, AFTER everyone’s bought.
ARGH . . . seriously, wasn’t the merger supposed to stop the PIXAR extortion?? Pity Lassester isn’t in charage of Distribution too . . .
Yeah, that’s my rant for today.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I’ll continue to endeavour to find out more about a 2-Disc Cars DVD, even if my emails and letters to persons at Disney/Buena Vista have go unanswered.

Err, EzyDVD have a 2-disc edition listed and they say that all their stock has been allocated for an October 25 release. (http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/789592)
Why don’t you give them a call to see what the 2nd disc involves…?

there’s a petition on pixarplanet.com to make cars being a 2-disc release… SIGN IT!
My biggest fear is that I haven’t seen any offers yet that bundles the DVD(s) with the standard 4 lithographs. It would kill me if they didn’t have that.
Does anyone know about this?
