Currently Cars has grossed $155,923,000 at the U.S. box office and $15,408,000 worldwide, creating a whopping $171,331,000 in the 17 days it has been open, taking into account that it hasn’t opened in some places yet.
Also, Cars has the highest production budget for a Pixar film to date with $120 million to spend. This is $5 million more than Monsters Inc.
