Disney/Pixar has announced the release of Cars for the 27th of November. Full specs for the release can be found below, along with an exclusive first look at the region two artwork. We’ll do our best to bring you the retail price soon.

- Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio
- ‘The Inspiration for Cars’
- ‘Mater and Ghostlight’ Animated Short
- ‘One Man Band’ Theatrical Animated Short
- Sneak peek at ‘Ratatouille’

- Audio Commentary
The DVD seems to be the same as the US and Australian/NZ releases. Hopefully these 1 disc releases are just to get christmas sales going and then next year before or around Ratatouille they release a 2 disc set.

Yeah, I hope so! A one-disc release is just unacceptable; however, I’ll be buying the dvd anyway…since I’m such a Pixar “geek”.
Hey luxo Jr. I just got the news that the new radio pixar show is now on Pixar Planet.com
I actually am thinking about waiting for the 2 disc, since Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and some other films have caught me buying less than spectacular versions only to find the real deal released a couple of months later.
Any word on the reason why Pixar has opted to release this as a single disc? It makes it so much less an “event” release.
