A total of fifteen films, including Toy Story 3, have qualified for consideration in the Best Animated Feature Oscar category!
Not a surprise there. What may come as a shock, though, is that the category fell one film short from having five nominees. Instead, three films will duke it out.
A full list of eligible animated films can be found on the Academy’s official website. Also, let’s not forget about Toy Story 3‘s Best Picture hopes.
The 83rd Annual Academy Awards nominations will be announced on January 25th, 2011. The red carpet rolls out on February 27th, 2011.
Which films would you like to see in the three slots?

It will still be 3 nominees even after Tangled premieres, bc Tangled was already included on the short list. There needs to be another new film not listed included to have 5 nominees.
Oh, alright that makes sense.
I’ll edit the post.
It’ll definitely be Toy Story 3 and How to Train Your Dragon for two of the slots. The third slot is a bit more up in the air, but I’m personally rooting for Tangled to round off the list. Of course we all know TS3 should win the night 🙂
Toy Story 3, Tangled and Dragon will probably be nominated if the Academy has no soul [which they probably don’t].
If they do (and I’ll be damned if they do), it’ll be between Toy Story 3, Illusionist and My Dog Tulip.
Doesn’t matter anyways because TS3 will win regardless just because it will.
Cats and Dogs 2 was an animated film??? I thought it was a live-action movie that just had CGI animals from time to time. Anyway, I haven’t seen many of the films on the list so I can’t really judge. I hope that at least one of the non-American films makes it into the final three.
Predicting Toy Story 3, How To Train Your Dragon, and Tangled as the nominees.
Hope it’s TS3, Dragon, and Despicable Me
