Over the past few years, Pixar’s video game tie-ins have shown a level of creativity that has placed them above other run-of-the-mill movie-based games. Disney Interactive Studios recently sent over the first gameplay footage from Brave: The Video Game, set to launch for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS, PC, and Mac this June.
All three versions of the game build upon the adventurous and magical aspects of Brave; players will control Merida as they fight mystical creatures and solve puzzles in environments inspired by the film. The console versions also feature local cooperative multiplayer, and the 360 and PS3 versions include Kinect and Playstation Move support. Also interesting to note is that Behavior Interactive is behind this game; Avalanche Studios developed the Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 video games. Watch the trailers for each version below:
Brave: The Video Game releases in stores on June 19, 2012. The film will premiere on June 22.
