There are too many reasons to be excited about Brave! First, I absolutely love Scottish accents, so this’ll be a treat. And then there’s the beautiful animation we’ve seen in the trailers. And it’s Pixar!

It’s a PIXAR movie! Why won’t I be excited?!
First, because it’s Pixar! Then, it’s their first take on the fairy tale genre. It’s directed by Brenda Chapman and Mark Andrews! The trailers and clips we’ve seen have been beautiful! And it’s going to have an awesome score!!!
The reason why I’m excited for Brave isn’t just because Pixar is amazing or that the movie looks beautiful and has great characters. The reason why I’m truly excited for Brave is the underlying message. The conflict between Elinor and Merida will be something that we really have never seen before in movie, let alone an animated movie. I can relate to Merida on so many different levels and I feel like that was one of the main focuses for Pixar, to make Merida relatable. So even though it’s Pixar’s first fantasy, female protagonist, etc., it’s really the underlying message that I think will truly make Brave spectacular!
I have been an avid fan of “Girl Vs Tradition” movies ever since Disney’s Mulan was released. I can’t wait to see how this classic theme will be transformed under Pixar’s master movie design in Brave.

I’m excited for Brave, because it seems to be new, and refreshing! The score is amazing, the animation is great, and the story seems heartwarming! Nick Battaglia NickB6913@live.com
Why so excited? It’s a Pixar movie, featuring the first ever female lead Pixar character. Gorgeous animation, quality renders… What else could I hope for? A French release date closer to June 22nd (it’s currently scheduled for August 1st).
For so, so many reasons. It’s a Pixar movie that has more intensity than pretty much any of their previous films. It looks a lot (wait for the pun) braver than previous films, the focus on magic and fairytale lore is something Pixar haven’t explored previously; it’s a huge film with an epic story.
The animation is fantastic looking also, thanks to the new anim. software it uses; Pixar’s continual growth and development means each film looks better than the last, and the gorgeous Scottish landscape looks phenomenal.
The music, the first female character, it’s been in development for 7 years, etc…, etc…
Also, to see how they fit the Pizza Planet Truck into 12th Century Scotland…

I’m excited for it because it LOOKS beautiful, because ever since I heard of it first (ages ago!) I’ve been intrigued by the story, because Merida seems like a compelling female character that who seems realistically flawed while still being kickass and that’s just awesome and refreshing and I love that.

I’m excited for Brave because I love Celtic culture (Irish and Scottish particularly), and this is an opportunity to see it rendered beautifully in an artistic environment. Furthermore, I’m excited for the soundtrack because Celtic music is one of my favorite musical genres; it always makes me feel like I’m flying, and Doyle’s score is no exception. I’d love to have this CD in my collection.

Why am I excited for Brave? Of couse because it’s a Disney Pixar film and I like all of them! Another reason is that it’s the first Pixar film with a female protagonist and the first Disney Princess from Pixar! The characters design is very particular and original, in my opinion so I can’t wait to watch it at the cinema!
Because my friend’s working on it! And its PIXAR.
I’m excited for Brave because it’s the first movie with a Disney Princess sans prince. Considering Pixar makes movies for children specifically and not adults, I think all of them should be this way.
I am excited for Brave for a long list of reasons. Because I have known of the movie since WALL-E. Because it is the first non-sequel since I joined the fandom. Because it is the first movie that I met someone who worked on it. Because it has the first female lead. Because it has actors who were in Harry Potter. Because the visuals look amazing. Because the composer also worked on Harry Potter. Because my boyfriend is driving 7 hours to see the movie with me. But to be honest, I don’t need a single one of those reasons to be excited! The only reason I need is that Brave is a new Pixar movie, and June 22 can’t arrive fast enough!!!!!!!!
I’m excited for Brave because it’s a Pixar movie and Pixar’s movies can never go wrong. The trailers look very promising, I love the idea that the leading role is a girl (yeah, girls rule!!!), and the thing that won my heart from the beginning is that Merida is a beautiful redhead with curly hair.
– Pauleen
It’s a Pixar movie,
It’s in Scotland,
Her hair,
Her Horse,
The Music,
The Time Period,
The Characters,
I could go on, but I think this is enough so you know that I am REALLY excited. 🙂
Jonathan
Looks like such a great Pixar movie

Why am i excited for Brave?
1. As everyone else has stated above it is made by PIXAR (that’s already enough to get you interested), one of the best studios in the world! When you think of great animated movies, you think of Pixar.
2. I have watched them grow as a company since the release of their first animated feature Toy Story in 1995. I knew as soon as i finished watching Toy Story for the first time that they were something special and would go on to create amazing things – that was my initial thought.. And boy was i right! They have become so iconic. They do, what others cannot accomplish; they create amazing stories with great characters that have depth which we care for.
3. They have been non-stop with their innovative and creative movies. Each one is different and none of them are poorly made. The animation they create is the best in the world, and not only is it beautiful in every movie, they keep improving it and push the boundaries in every new feature.
4. Pixar don’t make kids movies. They make movies for everyone to enjoy, and in some cases the adults enjoy them more than the kids e.g wall-e (the first half). It doesn’t matter if you’re 7 or 77, you enjoy them no matter your age.
5. Pixar don’t like to do stay with “the familiar” which is the main message in their short ‘Day and Night’ which i love. They have really gone for something very new this time. Yes, brave is a fairytale, but it isn’t your average one. It is set in the beautiful country Scotland (you can already picture the lush landscapes) around medieval times. All the characters have Scottish accents (not American thankfully) which is great. They’re not Americanizing it, like other studios do. They are straying away from the obvious and heading towards new worlds, new territories with a good story from what it seems.
There are just so many reasons why i am excited for it. The music sounds amazing too, which is why I’m anticipating the soundtrack. Everything just seems so right about it. Brave has been in production for 7 years! That just shows how determined the people at Pixar are to give us something we can enjoy. That is definitely something that deserves to be recognized. All the hard work that has obviously gone in to this really makes me have a lot of respect for them.
Pixar, i wish you all the best of luck for the movies you make in the future (I’m sure you won’t need it though, haha). You deserve all the praise you get and, well, just keep on making awesome movies!

I’ve been excited for each and every Pixar movie that has come out since Toy Story. I’m especially excited to go and see Brave. I’ve followed its development fairly closely, while still trying to avoid spoilers, and it looks like another example of Pixar at its best. As with many of Pixar’s movies, it seems like the soundtrack is going to be memorable. That music in the first trailer when Merida fires the last arrow always sends chills down my spine and makes me grin with anticipation.
-David
Let’s see…the biggest reason why I am excited for Brave is that it’s one of the FEW recent films that is actually relevant to me right now; I too am trying to find that ideal balance between family and freedom.
Other reasons: 1) finally a princess with natural curly hair! 2) awesome accents, and 3) like everyone else has stated already, it’s PIXAR!
-Lexi
I have grown up with Pixar films, and with each movie I feel like I grow up a little bit more. As Andy grew up, so did I. As Mike and Sully dealt with friendship, so did I. As Carl Frederickson dealt with loss… so did I. Pixar movies are timeless, and I cannot wait to find how my heart will impacted, through tears and laughter, by watching Merida’s journey.

I sure can’t wait to see Brave. I must be so crazy excited about Pixar’s 13th feature film…13!
I think I’m going to like that movie-I’m going to see it on opening day-just like all other Pixar movies.
And…it’s so exciting! Especially for me.
i love Pixar films. But i know i will love this film greater than any other film. My mother and I got into a huge fight 6 years ago when I had my first born, and the DAY the first trailer came out, my mother called me and i told her i was sorry. It was all my fault and I knew to be free was not all it was all cracked up to be. I needed my mommy. And i think i will be taking her to Brave midnight premiere and hold her hand. I love Brave because once again, Pixar hits my heart. I love you Pixar!
I’m very excited to see Brave. I love everything about Scoltland, its music, its people, its castle, specially it’s history. It’s the perfect oppotunity to continue discovering and open your mind to new levels.
Greeting from Argentina, Coricel!
For the sound track….two words. Julie Fowlis.
For the movie…..because it’s about Scotland and it will be done well. Pixar gu brath!
I am excited about Brave because I study Scottish Gaelic and I think it’s amazing that the world will be able to hear Julie Fowlis’ amazing voice and beautiful song.
I really want to see Brave for many reasons. One of the main reasons is because of the characters. Pixar does a great job of creating unique characters and choosing talented actors to live out them. Another thing I am excited about hearing is the music. It should be really different and cool since it is all Scotland music. Lastly, I am excited for the storyline. Pixar had many amazing, well thought projects in the past and I think this is going to be one of the best. Only Pixar could think of a clown fish getting lost in the ocean or toys coming alive when the humans leave the room or rats who love to cook. Just the idea of a Scotland movie with a female main character is fasinating. With the great staff and faculty working on this film, I know it is going to be great. I am super excited for this film!
I love Pixar since Toy Story and has been waiting for them to do a fairy tale film for ages. Now the time has come and I can’t wait to see what Brave can do. The Scottish culture is a nice background for this story and the music from Patrick Doyle is not only appropriate but also a great change from other Pixar films.
I’ll also bring my little sister to the cinema for the first time for this. Scary bear and everything but she’s a tough little lady so 🙂 be brave!
Honestly, I’m excited for anything Pixar dishes out! From Toy Story to Up to Cars 2 even, I have loved them all ever since. Why? Because it’s Pixar, that’s why! A company where story, heart, laughter, and sincerity comes into place in every film. The reason I want to be a filmmaker.
Brave is no difference! I mean the first Pixar film to have a female protagonist, now that’s something everyone should be excited about. The marketing for the film only pumps gas in my fuel tank of anticipation. Every time I watch a new Pixar film, I get something unexpected, which I know I will get from Brave. What else is there to say that hasn’t already been said?
Well I suppose it’s, change your fate on June 22, because the sky is beyond the limit!
Huge Pixar fan. I’m an animator and my wife is Scottish 🙂 after seeing what an amazing job the team did on Paris I can’t wait to see them tackle one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
After listening so some of the soundtrack I can safely say if I was to win this it would have a good home
Phil Shenton

Not to sound like ‘those people’, but
1) It’s the first Pixar movie with a female main character (very curious and excited to see how they try this new spin,)
2) It’s the third Pixar movie with human main characters (always a neat story,) and
3) It’s celtic! (Americans love celtic!) 😀
I am excited because Pixar never disappoints.
My friend has been calling me Merida since he saw the first picture. Our hair is very similar 😛 I love Pixar’s movies, and I’m excited about a fairy tale that isn’t like the others. The archery has me really excited, along with the awesome horse. The triplets seem amazing! (I’m a twin myself)
Been talking about midnight premiere since the first photo also, that was all we needed to go 🙂 Can’t wait to go see this with my best friend and enjoy the movie 🙂 (Also looking forward to the short and Monsters U trailer!!!)
I’m excited about Brave because, first of all, its a Pixar film, Pixar always always always makes quality films, and I’m positive this one will be a homerun! Second of all, I’m excited to see what the filmmakers will do with a heroine and a fairy tale. They are treading in “Disney” territory doing that, and I’m excited to see what innovative and original things the geniuses up at the studio. Thirdly, this will be one more reason to follow the example Pixar sets. Always strive for quality, never do anything just for the money but for the love of the story, and never be afraid to push the envelope. My name is Brian, and Pixar is without a doubt the be best and most respectable film company in history
I am excited to see “Brave” AND to hear the soundtrack….I used to live in Scotland…and didn’t fully appreciate it until I left (as a teen). I look forward to taking my three girls to see Brave and immersing in all things Scottish! I just discovered Birdy (love her sound) and am a huge Mumford and Sons fan….could go on and on but will happily anticipate seeing the movie very soon 🙂
Because it’s PIXAR, of course 😀
Because this seems like an awesome movie with an interesting and mysterious plot.
ever since I heard about its release several years ago I’ve been excited to see it!
(both the Sign In and Register links are wonky; I’m Katje Sabin and my email is mamagotcha at gmail dot com).
I’m a professional Renaissance-style hair braider, and involved in the SCA, so the hair and clothing and language and architecture all would have been attractive to me… but I’ve been a huge Pixar fan since André and Wally B. flickered on the big screen in 1984. Can’t wait!
Oh man, why am I excited to watch Brave??!!!
I have NEVER missed out on a Pixar movie, I’m in my late teens early twenties and I will forever love Pixar!!!
Brave is one of those films that inspire! The graphics and storyline all seem AMAZING!!!
The cast! Oh my goodness the cast!!! All the main cast members I have seen in other films/shows! Robbie Coltrane! Kelly Macdonald! Kevin McKidd! Emma Thompson! Julie Walters! An amazing ensemble of talented actors! The majority also being part of the Harry Potter cast!
Another reason: GIRL POWER!!! So little films provide a main character that have the independence and courage of Merida!!!
In all, the movie incorporates family values in a beautiful package of comedy, action, and beautiful scenery! As if we were really in the Scottish highlands!
THAT is why I’m excited to see Brave!
The characters look amazing and funny, the bears are adorable, and it’s PIXAR! What more reason do I need?! – Emily
I’m excited to see Brave because it’s Pixar’s first “fairy tale” AND first leading lady!

Why am Iooking forward to BRAVE? @craigyferg @craigyferg @craigyferg. oh and billy connolly. and while I like Michael giacchino, I like Patrick Doyle more 🙂

My husband and I have a standing date to see any Pixar movie on the last show opening night. We have been doing this since Toy Story.
But I am really excited about Brave because it doesn’t have a Prince run in and save the girl.
Also I just love soundtracks.
I have been waiting for this film when it was first called “The Bear and the Bow” and when Brenda Chapman was first announced as the first female director for Pixar. Even though Brenda step off the Director’s chair (but is on the Producing Side) – I AM STILL VERY EXCITED FOR THIS AMAZING FILM.
I am in awe of the curls on Merida and all of the landscapes in Brave that it inspires me to go out to Ireland and shoot my own films there!
Once again, I am very excited for the film and the score that will make the film even more brillant. Pixar has had amazing scores for every one of their films – and I have a feeling that the soundtrack for BRAVE – will knock everyone’s socks off. literally.
I can’t wait until next Friday – as I will be waiting in line, like every die hard Pixar Fan – crying at the beginning of the film and at the end of the credits – in awe of the people that made this film possible and the story/characters that touched our hearts! 🙂
I am super excited for not only the Scottish scenery and accents, but SUPER excited for the Celtic singing! LOVE DIFFERENT LANGUAGES IN SONGS FROM PIXAR MOVIES!
my daughter and I are excited about a story about a strong girl that rescues herself! pkus, pixar! what’s not to love?
Why it’s exciting? Because PIXAR! Pixar manages to reel in something new and exciting every movie. Be it from the new reflection rendering techniques in Cars to the bittersweet storyline of Up. Brave has themes never before tackled by Pixar, not to mention the reboot of their animation software and improved sound system. Pixar NEVER fails to impress. Walt Disney would be excited too.
YAY! Thank you so so so much for this awesome giveaway 😀 I am dying to watch Brave. I already know it will be my favorite movie. Cannot wait for it. Keep watching the trailers at all times. 🙂 I am excited about it because the story is so unique and amazing. Plus, I adore all the characters. Merida is amazing. As is her brothers and the rest of her family 😀 so excited. <3
Love, Carina Olsen
I love all of the Pixar movies, but this one seems a little more unique in choice of heroine and I am very excited for my son and I to see it!
I really like the look of the main character’s hair!
I am excited because the story looks great and the lead character is a girl! Not to mention I am a big fan of PIXAR. I like the mother and daughter storyline as well as how it seems that Merida will step up and take responsibility for any mistakes she makes while also finding out what she wants in life. 🙂

With movies like finding nemo, toy story, & up. Brave is going to a master piece just like them. Cant wait to see.
I believe “Brave” can be the best among the rest of the movie this year!! there is so many thing that can learn in this upcoming movie…and i sure 100% this movie is all about FAMILY… especially the one that we call MOTHER..I realllyy hope that all the kids, adults and all people in this world watching this movie…and i hope that after we watch this beautiful masterpiece..we learn to love and appreciate our beloved MOTHER…because.. wherever we go,whatever we do…who ever we are…just remember… OUR MOTHER.. she always be there for you… even we always making mistake and made or mom sad because our bad behaviour .. they always be by your side…no matter what… P/S: i luv u mama…tq for everything…lets watch this movie together!!!
alwiAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! That’s how excited I am!!!
p.s I love Pixar mostly for lots of reasons but I’m an illustrator and I just get lots in the artwork of Pixar films! I would DIE to work in their art department. Even if it was just to make coffee!
The reason i am excited to watch this movie, is because, knowing that it is Pixar’s first fairy tale, it leaves the studio with more than an infinite number of possibilities to do something that will, like always, ‘wow’ the public.
Just from watching the teaser trailer, and knowing the story involves archery, scotland, magic and a bear, it will for sure be an instant classic that generations will remember for a long time.
Given the studio’s talent to include smart comedy, without resorting to cheap or dumb jokes, and emotion, that will for sure touch and reach our hearts, and to be able to find the delicate balance between them to tell a new story and use everything to resonate the emotion of it, will for sure make this one of my favorite Pixar films.
Santiago L.
I am really excited for this movie premier because my 5 year old & 3 year old girls get more excited each time they see a trailer & products that are coming out to market this film. We are greatly anticipating the animation, but with the trailers we have viewed we are really excited to see the story that comes out in each film that Pixar creates. Our family learns life lessons and gives opportunities for open discussion in how these characters react within their world. To give the members of our multi-generation family that connection to each other is a wonderful gift that Pixar produces in each movie they make. Thank you so much for taking the time to develop a movie & characters that enrich our lives in this storytelling medium & giving us the opportunity to teach & learn in each movie you produce. Keep up the good work…we know you will.
Everything. It’s Pixar. When has Pixar ever made a bad choice with it’s Composers? From Newman to Giacchino. Perfect selection to the nitty gritty’s. I’m terribly stoked for how everything plays out!
It’s Pixar’s first film with a female lead, which is something I’ve been wanting to see for a long time. I wanted to see this film before they even started making it.
Mark T. (email listed in the email space)
I’ve overheard my Daddy saying to my Auntie that this movie is going to be f-word-tastic. I don’t know what it really means but now I want to see it really hard to find out! 🙂 Cheers! Anthony
It’s my first opportunity to take my son to see a Pixar movie in a theatre, and it looks like a great one to start with.
-Greg
I’m excited about Brave because I can relate to the character and it takes place in Scotland. Plus it’s a Disney/Pixar movie(they are always fantastic. Always.) 🙂
Miranda
I’m excited for Brave because I think it’s about time we see a female being “brave” and showing the world what we can do. I also think that this Pixar film has one of the most interesting plot lines to date and I can’t wait to find out what happens! And Pixar is always funny, and I’ll need a good laugh after school and my finals are over. 🙂
Omg, please me!
I’m a huge Pixar fan, and I look forward to any film that they release. I’m sure that Brave will be great.
I am SUPER excited for the soundtrack for Brave. Before I go see any movie I make sure I listen to the score. Not only does it give me an idea of the musical plot but it gives myself a chance to imagine what the scene is based off the score and the title of the track. Not only that but it’s Pixar and they have created some of the best movies to date. I’m ecstatic that it’s a female lead! I hope sometime in the future there’s a physically disabled main character. 😀
Cheers!
-Val
I have wanted to work for Pixar since the 6th grade when I saw Finding Nemo for the first time. Pixar movies have upheld a tradition of originality, humor, heart, and unparalleled technical skill since the very beginning, and I’m sure Brave will be no exception.
-McKenna Phillips, Aspiring Animator
I’ve been looking forward to Brave since it’s early stages! Back when it was named “The Bear and the Bow”. The title intrigued me, and lack of an actual summary only made me even more curious. Then the concept art? My excitement grew after just seeing Merida’s HAIR. The trailers then gave us a taste of what beautiful animation and music we are in for, and I can not be more excited for the 22nd!
-Maryanne Baker, maryanneb25@ymail.com
I am so excited to see this newest Pixar movie because it looks like yet another amazing movie. The animation, story, attention to to detail look to be beautiful!
I am so excited to see Brave because the music seems incredible and the animation of such a beautiful place in our world looks fantastic. I can’t wait! Plus it’s nice to see strong young women as protagonists.
Not only do I love animation – which PIXAR does brilliant – but I love good stories and PIXAR tells some of the greatest stories in the film industry today.
James Rath
So hard to list all the reasons I am excited. I am redheaded princess myself so I gotta support my sister. And anything by Pixar is going to be my favorite movie of the year.
-Laura B.
I am counting down the days until Brave is released! I’m a Scottish highland dancer and am so excited to finally have a Scottish princess! I am also very interested in animation and am seriously considering majoring in animation or other visual arts. Merida’s hair looks amazing and overall I’m just inspired by the artwork in all of Disney Pixar’s animations. And this one looks even better, if that’s possible! -Mikhaila Markham
As an archer myself Brave brings back a lot of wonderful memories and is perfect for show girls that yes you can do the same as boys, Forever being equal. Bravo to all the animators & other crew members for a wonderful movie & storyline!
I’m excited because… well, I don’t know but I already bought my tickets!
